Work method: Forged or Stock Removal

Many buyers care whether a blade was forged or made by stock removal. Work method lets you say how you work, so the right buyers can find you and know what they are looking at.

Set how you work

You are prompted for it (optionally) when you sign up, and you can change it any time under Dashboard → Profile. It is a multi-select, so you can pick Forged, Stock Removal, or both if you do both.

Where it shows

Your method appears as a small badge on your public pages, both the free Profile and, if you have one, your paid Website. If you would rather not display it, you can hide the badge while still keeping it set for the directory filter below.

Helps buyers find you

In the Find a Bladesmith directory, buyers can filter makers by work method, so someone set on a forged blade can narrow the list to smiths who forge. Setting your method, even with the badge hidden, keeps you in the right results.
