Expressive Metals School of Blacksmithing

Expressive Metals School of Blacksmithing is taught by Randy McDaniel, a blacksmith for over 53 years, author of three blacksmithing books, "A Blacksmithing Primer" which has sold over 34,000 copies world wide and "Hydraulic Forging Press for the Blacksmith". His third book, "The Glint in the Dragon's Eye, A Blacksmith's Journey" is a fantasy adventure and was released at the end of 2025. Mr. McDaniel has been teaching blacksmithing classes for over 50 years and has taught blacksmithing classes at major colleges, art schools, craft schools and for blacksmithing groups nationwide including Canada.

Three times he has been a demonstrator/lecturer for ABANA's national conference and in 2024 he demonstrated the hydraulic forging press and its tooling. He has been featured several times in the Anvil's Ring. Beside passing on his knowledge of blacksmithing he specializes in tooling and work done on his 60 ton hydraulic forging press. Due to only taking 3 students at a time, the motto of his school is "Personal classes for the serious student, taught by a professional blacksmith!"
